Temu parts, a Civic and a race suit: BoostedBoiKyle's budget drag pass
Two uploads went up, the second a huge turbo for the DDE Integra a week after its 1000HP engine went in.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
I Can't Believe The Temu Civic Went This Fast...
Cheap parts, quick car. Kyle's Temu Civic, a drag build put together largely from bargain online parts, made its pass on the strip in "I Can't Believe The Temu Civic Went This Fast...", and it was the week's most watched upload, with about a quarter of a million views on its first day.
The comment section reads like a planning meeting. Many viewers want a sequel, a nine-second car on a shoestring, and plenty ask him to keep the running tally of what every part cost. One popular joke has a friend demanding a ten-second car and Kyle promising overnight parts from China. Others linger on the new fire suit he shows off with a little spin, and on the girlfriend behind the camera who helped get it. Kyle himself admits a clip went missing after the pass, and says it will turn up at the start of the next video.
The other half of the week is the DDE Integra. Last week the 1000HP engine went in; on Friday it got its "HUGE Turbo", and that video is now the channel's busiest, with its first day running a little ahead of the Civic's. Together they lifted the channel to around seven times its usual daily views, though the subscriber count held where it was.
Among similar car channels, Dave's Auto Center and Clearview Driving are having the big weeks, while Gears and Gasoline is running quieter than usual.
