She Messed Up This Dog's Haircut

Close to five million views now sit on "She Messed Up This Dog's Haircut," the short that was nearing 850,000 when we last checked in on BoopTV, as we reported here. A week on, it is still pulling in about a million views a day by itself, which is roughly what the whole channel is doing right now.

BoopTV is a clips channel, and its about text calls it a daily scroll-stopper of funny, cute and chaotic animals. This clip is all three. The comment section has settled on one line, the groomer's panicked apology to a dog named Luigi about what his mom is going to say, and many viewers keep repeating it back. The other running thread is the repair job: several people describe her reaching for tape to stick the fur back on, and plenty of them wonder why tape was lying there at all.

Seven shorts went up over the week, with titles like "Dog Learns Inside Voice" and "He Found The Secret Dog Button," and none came near the haircut. The newest, "He is Testing Her Owners Patience," had the quickest start of the new batch. Behind the haircut, the clip with the most momentum is ten days old: "This Dog Is Good at Basketball," now well past two and a half million.

The channel overall is running below its usual daily pace, and new subscribers came in slowly, about 2,000 over the week. Among pet and animal channels of a similar size, Pawesome Ranks had by far the biggest week, while BoopTV landed in the middle of the group for views gained.
