Jynxzi faces his fear of animals at Alveus, and six million watch

The streamer's visit, built around Maya Higa's sanctuary and a first meeting with an emu, has carried the channel through a week with no new uploads.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Alveus Sanctuary put nothing new up this week, and the channel ran on one visitor. Eighteen days ago Jynxzi, the Rainbow Six Siege streamer, came to the Texas sanctuary founded by Maya Higa, and "Jynxzi Conquers His Fear of Animals" has since passed six million views.

The visit also produced a pair of shorts, and both are still drawing a crowd. In one, Maya gets him with a fake bug. In the other, he meets his first emu. For a man whose title promises he is conquering a fear, a large bird is a fair test. The prank short has passed 400,000 views on its own, the emu about half that.

The pace has eased from the visit's first rush. Daily views sit well under the channel's usual level, though around 7,000 new subscribers still arrived over the seven days. That is a reasonable haul for a nonprofit whose about text describes it as a sanctuary and virtual education center for conservation, with its animals usually on 24/7 live cams over on Twitch.

Among the pet and animal channels near its size, Alveus sat in the middle of the group for views gained. Tiridan Vee and Rufus Goodboy had the big weeks, while Australia Zoo and WoofMeow were quiet. Nearly every channel in the group ran below its usual daily pace, Alveus included. Even so, the Jynxzi film keeps finding new people almost three weeks after he first walked in.
