米フロリダ州 小型機が墜落 炎上 9人全員死亡 現場で火災発生 600人が避難(2026年11月2日)
Minutes before the fatal jet crash in Palm Beach, Florida, the pilot reported icing and turbulence that shook the aircraft up and down by as much as roughly 200 meters, according to CNN's account of recorded communications cited in the report.
Japan's All-Nippon News (ANN), in an upload on TV Asahi's ANNnewsCH channel, pairs those details with dashcam footage showing the aircraft striking near a road, followed by a fireball and rising black smoke. The report says all nine passengers and crew died in the November 1 crash near a residential neighborhood.
Citing U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, the bulletin says the jet was traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas. Its account of the communications also gives an outside air temperature of minus 47 degrees Celsius. Those reported conditions do not establish what caused the crash.
The bulletin ends with the consequences on the ground: fire at the crash site forced about 600 people to evacuate. No deaths or injuries on the ground had been confirmed, it reports.
U.S. secretary of transportation since January 2025. A Republican, he previously represented Wisconsin’s seventh congressional district in Congress.
