Devler's new microphone goes to war in 'Hell Let Loosey Goosey: VIETNAM'

The squad took its favorite 50-versus-50 shooter into the jungle, and the comments mostly want to talk about how different one returning voice sounds.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

On a usual day, WorstPremadeEver's back catalog quietly brings in a healthy crowd. This week it ran warmer than that, and most of the extra heat came from one long video.

"Hell Let Loosey Goosey: VIETNAM" drops the self-described misfits back into Hell Let Loose, the large-scale multiplayer shooter, this time in the jungle. It drew more viewers on its first day than any other upload of the week managed in total, and it passed a quarter of a million views within three days. The cast is the usual crowd plus a familiar face: Devler is back, and viewers seem a little stunned that he now has a good microphone. Some miss the old crackle, which they say made him sound more unhinged. Others replay his German lessons, his attempt to teach Jake to say happy birthday, and a running gag in the subtitles about jelly beans. A few strangers who met the group in the match turned up in the comments too, pleased to hear their own voices in the edit. Then there is the soundtrack argument: is the definitive Vietnam song "Fortunate Son" or "Ride of the Valkyries"?

The rest of the week's seven uploads were shorter romps through Hytale, Peak, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Pico Park 2. The Pico Park one, billed as the episode where they learned their lesson while staying gremlins, is the second busiest right now. A ten-day-old Waterpark Simulator video, about running a water park from the sewers, is still drawing a steady crowd.

The subscriber count held still, but among the let's-play and variety channels of similar size, no one added more views this week. Their total came to a little over two million, just ahead of Floydson and jenn.
