WLA's Iran broadcast puts undersea cable threats in focus
The stream centers on Tehran's warnings about digital infrastructure, drawing far more views than the channel's usual long broadcasts.
Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 92,173 views a day, 11 times a normal first day on this channel (8,516).

Internet cables, data centers and AI facilities feature in the threats described by WLA's Iran-war broadcast, extending its focus beyond ships and military bases.
The channel's description presents Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's response to Donald Trump's warning about finishing the conflict: Iran, he says, has unfinished business of its own. It also attributes warnings about undersea cables beneath the Strait of Hormuz to IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebbi, alongside threats against US-linked digital infrastructure from Mohsen Rezaei. These are warnings about potential targets, not reports that those facilities have been struck.
The broadcast reached nearly 100,000 views in 29 hours. Its estimated first-day audience was more than ten times WLA's usual start for streams and videos longer than an hour and a half.
A separate broadcast about Iran and US warships also drew a substantially stronger start than usual. Those individual successes sit alongside a quieter picture across WLA as a whole: daily views are below its typical pace.
The channel's wider coverage is also examining pressure outside the battlefield. A new Angus Scott report asks whether Washington's economic threats are encouraging BRICS countries to explore alternatives to dollar-based trade.
