Hongjoong, Gracie Abrams and a Staten Island quiz fill Variety's week

ATEEZ's captain talked about the group's almost-ninth member and the Grammys in a sit-down that passed 100,000 views in under a week.

"ATEEZ's Hongjoong on The Secret 9th Member, The Grammys, & If He'll Go Solo" is the most watched of seven new uploads on Variety, the entertainment trade's own channel. Across half an hour with Tiana DeNicola, the group's captain goes from sending demos to labels and auditioning as a producer to the songs he writes for the other members, his 180-plus songwriting credits, military service and whether a solo album is coming. The chapters also promise the story of how ATEEZ nearly debuted as nine. A short clip pulled from the same talk, where he says he agrees with BTS on the Grammys' Best Asian Pop Music Performance category, followed it.

Gracie Abrams filled most of the rest. Her Behind the Song episode on "Hit the Wall" covers finding the sound for her latest album and a few fan theories she wanted to settle. It arrived in three pieces, and the full episode is the one people keep pressing play on, drawing more each day than the Hongjoong interview.

Pete Davidson arrived last, and fast. In Ask a Local he rules on whether pizza, the FDNY and living with your parents are uniquely Staten Island, a borough he has turned into a running bit since his SNL years. He also talks about the ferry he bought with Colin Jost and his films "How to Rob a Bank" and "Bitcoin." Half a day in, it was gathering views faster than anything else on the channel. The closest thing to it is Melissa McCarthy testing herself on her own lines, from Gilmore Girls to Bridesmaids, which has passed 300,000 views in ten days.

Among the movie and TV channels around Variety's size, the clearest busy stretches belong to The Rookie fan page, House M.D. and ScreenCrush, all running at roughly double their usual daily pace.
