House and Wilson, from 'Pilot' to 'Everybody Dies', in one long goodbye

A compilation of thirty-one scenes across all eight seasons opened a six-video week, with John Cho, a doctor-turned-patient and three broken rules along the way.

On a usual day, the official House M.D. channel draws a little over a million views. Lately it has been drawing about twice that, and most of it comes from the back catalog rather than the new uploads, which together account for only a small slice of the daily total.

The week's centerpiece is "House and Wilson: A Friendship for the Ages," a compilation that runs well past the hour mark. Its description jokes that it could have been three hours. It follows Hugh Laurie's House and Robert Sean Leonard's Wilson from the very first episode through "Wilson's Heart" and "Wilson" all the way to the series finale, "Everybody Dies." It is the most watched of the new videos.

The others dip into single cases. One revisits the first-season date with Cameron in "Love Hurts," with John Cho as a clinic patient House treats badly. Another pairs two stories of siblings and transplants. The quickest starters came late in the week. "Three Times Doctors Crossed the Line" gathers ethics lapses from "Whatever It Takes," "The Tyrant" and "Last Temptation," and "The Doctor is The Patient" went up a day after it. Both are drawing more views per day than anything else on the channel. Close behind them is an eight-day-old clip from "Detox," the episode where House tries to go a week without his pain medication, which has passed a quarter of a million views.

Among the TV and movie clip channels of a similar size, Heavy Spoilers is having the biggest stretch, running at nearly three times its usual pace. Rock Movie and ScreenCrush are busier than normal too. House, with its doubled daily views, is right in that company.
