Truly Criminal paired two cases connected by their date: a triple murder in Martin, Ohio, and a double murder in Napa Valley. Both documentaries arrived around Halloween, with the Ohio episode drawing the larger audience.
"Halloween Horror: The Liske Family Murders" has reached about 200,000 views. The documentary reconstructs the October 2010 killings of Suzie Liske, Bill Liske and Derek Griffin through narration, emergency-call audio and archival local reporting. It then follows investigators to a hunting cabin, where William "BJ" Liske Jr. was arrested, before examining the ballistics and recorded jail calls that helped establish the case. He pleaded guilty and received three consecutive life sentences without parole.
Posted the previous day, "Napa Valley Nightmare: Double Murder On Halloween" begins with friends handing out sweets in their neighbourhood in 2004, before breaking glass and a scream interrupt the night. It has drawn roughly 157,000 views. The two new documentaries are also the channel's busiest uploads in daily viewing right now.
Across the channel, weekly viewing came close to a million, while the subscriber count remained unchanged. Today's viewing is slightly below its usual level. Among nearby true-crime channels, Law&Crime Trials had a substantially larger weekly audience, while Disturban and Emily D. Baker had quieter weeks than Truly Criminal.
