Megan and Ben's robot pet comes with awkward questions

Their Japanese companion-pet sketch pairs freedom from feeding and vet visits with a camera that changes the conversation.

Why you NEED a Robot pet from Japan 🤯

No food, no vet. Megan's case for a robot pet sounds fairly persuasive until Ben calls it economical and she reveals the $5,000 price tag.

That exchange anchors "Why you NEED a Robot pet from Japan 🤯", the most-watched of Megan and Ben's two uploads this week, with roughly 1.4 million views. It's a comedy sketch, and the sales argument keeps finding new complications. Resetting a malfunctioning companion prompts Ben to ask, "Isn't that like killing it?" Then the camera on its head turns a convenient feature into a privacy worry.

The comments extend both sides of the premise. One viewer asks whether a companion like this could alert relatives or authorities to help an elderly owner. Others reach for Toy Story comparisons or joke that their cats already have surveillance duties covered. Those are questions and jokes, not evidence that the device is secretly collecting information.

The American couple, who live in Japan, also posted "How to get BANNED from business class 🥲". That newer upload is currently gathering views fastest, while October's "Testing Japan's beauty fixes 💅" remains among their active archive draws.

The channel added 10,000 subscribers over the week, although its current daily viewing is below its usual level. Among nearby family and couple channels, JesssFam had a particularly busy week, while Jess and Gabriel were quieter. For Megan and Ben, the robot supplied the week's fullest little side quest: an apparently practical pet that gives its owners plenty to debate.
