The staged comedy Short from Cadel and Mia has passed ten million views in fourteen hours, far beyond the channel's usual first-day audience for Shorts. Its joke needs almost no dialogue: she says goodbye, hugs him, then looks alarmed at his shoulder.

When Cadel turns towards the camera, the reason appears: a full face-shaped makeup print. He smiles without noticing, while the audience gets the explanation Mia has declined to give him.

Viewers are discussing the tiny face on the shirt, right down to its eyelashes, as well as Mia's hasty departure. Several also pick out Cadel's confused reaction, the other half of a gag built around one person knowing exactly what happened and the other knowing nothing.

It is not the pair's only unusually fast-moving upload. Their Barbie and dance-evolution Shorts have also drawn much larger early audiences than usual. And the lettuce-getaway kitchen sketch, as we reported here, is another of their fast starters: Cadel and Mia are finding plenty of uses for a quick visual misunderstanding.
