Two days earlier came the other Korea upload, a skincare short whose title asks, with a skull emoji, whether the trend of the moment really comes from people. It has passed 1.8 million views.

The side-quest couple, as their about text calls them, are Americans living in Japan, and their beauty shorts keep working long after posting. "K-pop makeover gone wrong 😟" is two months old and past 40 million views. "Beauty trends in Japan got me like 😵‍💫" has passed 21 million.

Among the couples and family channels around them, Megan and Ben have the fewest subscribers, at roughly 2.9 million. Games4two and Jonathan Joly are both running well above their usual pace. JesssFam is the busiest of the group overall, while The YUH Family is drawing less than it normally does.
