A whale named Ozzy, a rainstorm and Toka's first immunity on Survivor 51
Episode 2's challenge sent both tribes into the ocean to free a giant prop whale and haul it to the beach, with Jeff Probst calling it through a downpour.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Meet Ozzy the Whale: Episode 2 Immunity Challenge Showdown | Survivor 51 | CBS
Survivor 51 has a new cast member, and it is a whale. In "Meet Ozzy the Whale: Episode 2 Immunity Challenge Showdown," Jeff Probst introduces a huge whale he has named Ozzy. The tribes leap into the sea to release it, heave it and themselves over a barrel, drag it ashore and finish by rolling balls into a target. The rain arrives just as the challenge starts, Savu struggles at the table, and Toka comes back to win its first immunity of the season. It is the week's most watched upload, at more than 36,000 views, and it is still drawing new viewers faster than anything else on the channel.
The comments have plenty of fun with the name. Many viewers hear a nod to Ozzy Lusth, the former castaway famous for winning challenges. Others notice that Probst keeps up his commentary in the downpour as if it were not happening at all. Brady Booker is the other favorite. Days after he cut off a piece of his thumb at camp, a clip that also drew a crowd this week, viewers say his victory shout was louder than anything he managed at the med box.
Nine uploads went up over the week, and together they follow Episode 2 from start to finish. Toka took the blindfolded reward race for pillows, a tarp and a hammock. Rob promised a "big, giant plan" without saying what it was. Savu's first Tribal Council came down to Anna or Eric. In Behind the Buff, the second castaway voted out says her biggest regret was offering her own name as a decoy.
The wider picture is calmer. The channel is pulling in a little less than usual and sits at 495,000 subscribers, unchanged from a week ago. Among the reality and game-show channels close to its size, Food Club and EastEnders are running above their usual pace, while Big Brother and Um, Actually are quieter than normal. For now, Survivor's weekly rhythm is the whale and whatever Rob is planning.

@nanniemoon4134See it on YouTubeI think Brady screamed louder in this challenge at the end than when he chopped off his finger at the camp. 🤣

@BanditSurvivorContentSee it on YouTubeThat is one of the most epic challenges I have ever seen. The music emphasizes that. It is most epic with both tribes trying to get the whale over the barrel and the rain makes the challenge more difficult and epic
