Surfline's wave-pool wipeout comes with a second takeoff

An Atlantic Surf Park recovery is the channel's only new upload, reaching roughly 225,000 views.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Over the falls, into the whitewater, then back on his feet: the young surfer in Surfline's latest clip somehow gets another ride out of the same wave. After tumbling off the crest, he scrambles back onto the board, stands up in the foam and carries on across the pool.

Surfline calls it "No quit in this grom 🤣. Atlantic Surf Park magic the other night (not AI)." The on-screen caption says they watched it repeatedly, and the comments offer their own explanations of the recovery: viewers compare it to a board-flip reentry, invoke Kelly Slater and ask for surfing commentator Sterling Spencer's take. Those proposed trick names are part of the fun, not an official classification.

It was Surfline's only upload of the week, and it is comfortably the channel's busiest video right now. Older clips remain in motion too, including Corban Campbell surfing in Mexico and an October promotion for SurflineTV, the surf-report and forecasting business's viewing service.

Across the channel, daily views are running well above their usual level. Subscriber growth was modest but positive, adding about a thousand over the week. Nearby sports channels AFL and Waltz Skateboards had quieter weeks for views and no subscriber gains, while DP World Tour drew a much larger weekly audience. Surfline's contribution to that varied sporting week was considerably smaller in scale: a wave-pool tumble that didn't quite end the ride.
