Todd Monken and Denzel Ward Join The TNF Desk After Big AFC North Win | Prime Video

When Thursday Night Football ended, Prime Video's postgame desk got its guests from the winning side. Todd Monken, the Browns' coach, and cornerback Denzel Ward sat down with the crew after Cleveland's AFC North win over Pittsburgh. Sports On Prime posted the conversation, and in less than a day it passed 45,000 views. A regular video here usually finishes its first day with a few thousand.

The comments moved even faster than the views. A typical video on the channel collects a couple of comments in its first day. This one is closing in on a hundred, and most of them come from Cleveland. The most liked replies are about Ward: the defensive back many call the best in the league, and a player born and raised in Ohio who has never worn another team's uniform. The Browns drafted him fourth overall in 2018, and he has been a Cleveland fixture since.

Monken has a Cleveland past too. He was the Browns' offensive coordinator in 2019, before he ran Georgia's offense through back-to-back national titles. Viewers enjoy a "Dawgs" line they credit to him on the desk, a joke that works for Athens and for the Dawg Pound alike. Another popular reply points out, with some pleasure, that the whole panel had picked the Steelers.

A second Cleveland clip, Monken handing out game balls in the locker room, started almost as fast. Neither had much company on the channel's Thursday. A short of Ryan Fitzpatrick celebrating Case Keenum joining him as the only quarterbacks to win with seven different teams, and Andrew Whitworth showing off his old tight-end stiff arm, have a few hundred views each.

The numbers

Two Browns clips from the same night ran far ahead of the channel's usual first day, and the desk interview's comment section was busier still.
