Carlos Alcaraz REACTS to booking his place in his first-ever Paris Masters final! 🍿

The court hasn't suited him. Carlos Alcaraz is through to his first Paris Masters final anyway, after beating Casper Ruud, and his courtside reaction mixes satisfaction with a frank assessment of the difficulties.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Alcaraz says the court speed does not fit his game particularly well. But he has been adapting as the tournament progresses: "I'd say I'm feeling more comfortable, which is great."

That short interview drew around 34,000 views in its first ten hours, already well beyond the channel's usual full-day audience for Shorts. It offers something different from a spectacular winning shot: a player explaining how he has found a way through conditions he finds uncomfortable.

The next challenge is Ben Shelton. Alcaraz singles out the American's serve, baseline play and physical strength, and recalls their previous US Open meeting going to a deciding-set tie-break. He wants to improve on what did not work for him there.

For all that attention to the next opponent, Alcaraz also gives himself permission to appreciate reaching this stage in Paris after previous quarter-final finishes. "I'm gonna enjoy this moment, because I was chasing this moment playing the final here for a long time."
