Five rounds of shuttle runs sound manageable until the turns start adding up. Heber Cannon, Mars Sawyers and Julian Marquez discover the difference in RugbyPass's most-watched new upload, attempting the Bronco conditioning test with USA Rugby player Conner Mooneyham.
The course sends them out and back over progressively longer distances, then asks them to do it all again. Team USA players offer advice on turning and pacing before the trio start, with couch commentary adding a second perspective on the increasingly tired runners. By the middle rounds, the apparently simple field exercise is doing its work. Mooneyham's verdict afterwards is considerably kinder than the title: "You guys are fit."
"We tried the fitness test that makes professional athletes cry" has reached roughly 45,000 views. Viewers bring their own preseason memories to the comments, recalling similar shuttle sessions in Wales and South Africa, sometimes under different names. Others debate the record times discussed in the video.
RugbyPass posted three uploads, with sidestepping and the challenge of lifting a rugby player overhead completing the selection. Across the channel, weekly viewing topped two million and subscribers grew modestly. Daily views are also running above their usual level.
Among nearby sports channels, H.I.T GOLF had a particularly busy week, while NRL on Nine's daily viewing is below its usual pace. RugbyPass's strongest daily momentum belongs to the older "The air time is unbelievable 🤯#Rugby #RWC2023", followed by the Bronco challenge. The corner-grounding question in "Is this a try?" continues to draw viewers too, keeping both athletic spectacle and rugby's finer margins in circulation.
