Matt, Tom and a giant chalkboard: Innovation keeps SU&SD's Top 100 busy
Shut Up & Sit Down posted nothing new, and the four-week-old Top 100 entry on Carl Chudyk's tiny card game passed 140,000 views.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
The 100 Best Games: INNOVATION!
No new uploads. Shut Up & Sit Down took the week off, and the back shelf did the talking, led by a video in which Matt Lees and Tom Brewster wrestle, as the description puts it, a gigantic chalkboard.
That video is "The 100 Best Games: INNOVATION!", the latest entry in the channel's ongoing Top 100 of all time, and it is about a game the description calls mighty and tiny at once. Fair enough on both counts: Carl Chudyk's Innovation is a small deck of cards that tries to cover all of human history, from the wheel to the internet. Four weeks after it went up, it is still the video viewers open most.
Behind it sits the Jisogi review, with its gloriously unhinged title, "GET IN THE TRUCK, WE'RE MAKING AN ANIME". The game is a euro about producing an anime, and the review asks whether you can turn a profit before the debt and the burnout catch up with you. Further back, a preview of The Elder Scrolls: Betrayal of the Second Era from Board Games Direct 2026 is still finding Tamriel fans.
Without fresh videos, the channel ran a bit slower than usual, though it still added around a thousand subscribers. That slowdown is shared: nearly every channel in its corner of chess, poker and card games is below its normal pace right now, Greg Goes All In and Brantzen Poker included, and those poker channels pull in far bigger daily crowds than a board game review show. Shut Up & Sit Down's week is about one chalkboard and one very small card game.
