A jet-powered surfboard from the C-Boys, and Gavin Carlson takes the gift

Shred Eighty's Minnesota friends handed over a board with an engine, and a day-old trip to their new dirt bike track followed.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

C-Boys Gave Me a Jet-Powered Surfboard! C-Boys Gave Me a Jet-Powered Surfboard!

Two uploads, both from C-Boys. Gavin Carlson, the man behind Shred Eighty and its devotion to 1980s three-wheelers, spent the week at his friends' place in Minnesota, the crew he says many viewers first met through crashing machines together.

The headliner was "C-Boys Gave Me a Jet-Powered Surfboard!", which passed 200,000 views in its first week. The comment section treats the gift with suspicion: several viewers point out that presents involving Gavin rarely survive, with one bringing up Spenny and a certain van, and another notes that after all the sketchy machines this crew rides, the first injury came from a blender. Viewers also wonder how the video wandered from the water to three-wheelers to a bike.

On Tuesday he went back for "Exploring My Friends New Dirt Bike Track!", which the description calls probably the craziest track he has seen in person. Spenser rides along, and the Stark-swapped three-wheeler comes out next to his dirt bike. Four hours in, it already had close to 50,000 views.

Older trips are still turning over too: September's Shred Fest, the event he put on with Rich and Lifted Truck Nationals, and the Rednecks with Paychecks weekend where Grace learned to go mudding.

The channel ran a little below its usual daily pace and added about 4,000 subscribers. Among motorbike and off-road channels its size, dickfartjr is having the big week, more than doubling his usual daily views, while Buttery Films and Axell Hodges are quieter than normal.

What viewers say

  • Gav is the worst person to get a gift from lol.. if you are lucky enough to actually keep your gift (unlike spenny and the spenny van) it probably starts 1 in 10 times
  • 0:41 them electrical surf boards are dangerous.

For real tho, all the sketchy stuff they ride and the first injury is from a blender.
