Shirahaha's novelty prints get a one-way trip to the trash
A card shuffler, transforming finger box and tiny umbrella hat feature in the week's most-watched new upload.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
3D Prints are USELESS…
The card shuffler works. That doesn't save it from Shirahaha's bin: being able to shuffle cards by hand is apparently grounds enough for disposal.
"3D Prints are USELESS…" is a comedy showcase, not a declaration that the printer is being retired. A spring-loaded ring box gets rejected because the narrator is single, while a wine glass holder tips over and an egg holder drops its cargo. The parade extends to a comically elongated mock phone and an umbrella hat. Practicality is only part of the joke; finding reasons to dismiss everything is the other part.
Viewers are making their own exceptions. The transforming finger box gets attention, one commenter suggests printing enough for a whole hand, and others defend the card shuffler and egg holder. There's also a more practical discussion about how quickly useful printing can turn into a drawer full of novelty objects.
That upload drew roughly 180,000 views, making it the most watched of Shirahaha's two new posts. But "Top5 3D Printing Hacks!", posted afterward, has the strongest daily momentum on the channel. The older "Trade up challenge! Cat for 3D Printer?" is close behind, with the goose installment also continuing to draw views.
Shirahaha reached 750,000 subscribers, with this week's gain accounting for more than half the past month's growth. Daily viewing is modestly above its usual level. Among the nearby DIY and home channels, The Pethericks had a particularly strong subscriber week, while Shirahaha drew the most weekly views in that group. For a channel currently throwing its creations away on camera, the printer has plenty of company.
