Fire from a dead lighter: Serkan Doğada's six survival hacks
A 19-day-old survival short has passed 18 million views and still brings in most of the channel's traffic, while the new uploads stuck to fire, charcoal and waterproof matches.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

What do you do with a disposable lighter that has given up? In Serkan Doğada's busiest new short, you pull the flint out and keep making sparks, and the comment section has opinions about that.
The Turkish bushcraft channel, built on forest camping, axes, knives, shelters and learning to live a little apart from the city, posted six shorts this week, and almost all of them circle fire: a homemade fire starter, charcoal, waterproof matches. The lighter hack opened the week and is still the one moving. Some viewers point out that the empty lighter would throw sparks just fine without being taken apart, others say a ferro rod is cheaper than a pile of lighters, and one Japanese viewer admires the tree sap used as a natural glue. A French commenter, meanwhile, jokes about a "fake Sergio."
The real weight of the channel sits elsewhere. "Amazing Survival Skills You'll Wish You Knew Sooner," posted 19 days ago, has gone past 18 million views and is still adding far more each day than everything else combined. The channel's daily views are below their usual pace, but the week still brought in close to four million.
That is the most of any outdoors and homesteading channel near its size this week, ahead of Madison Clysdale's busy stretch, while Huw Richards and Landshark Outdoors ran a little quieter than usual. Serkan Doğada sits at 925,000 subscribers, a few thousand more than seven days ago.

What viewers say
Ah, the old larch again! Nice trick. I'd just worry I'll shoot all the flints somewhere in the grass. If it's just about sparks, I'd just use the empty Bic as is, no need to disassemble.
