Ten items for small spaces: Sootch's 'Top 10 Items for Prepping in an Apartment'
A solar lantern, a filter straw and a multitool made the list, and the comments filled up with balcony storage, toolboxes and water jugs light enough to carry upstairs.

Top 10 Items for Prepping in an Apartment
What do you pack for an emergency when there is no garage, no basement and barely a closet? Sootch, the longtime survival voice behind Sootch00 and this companion channel, answered that on Friday with "Top 10 Items for Prepping in an Apartment," a list of ten essentials for when the lights go out.
The description names the gear: a Maxpedition Mongo Versipack, emergency radios from Midland and CCRadio, a BioLite Luci solar lantern, a Jackery power station, filter straws from Aquamira and LifeStraw, and two Gerber multitools. It passed 36,000 views in three days and is moving far faster than anything else on the channel, which has lifted the whole day well above its usual pace.
The comment section reads like a group of neighbors comparing notes. One viewer suggests collapsible water jugs, since a full five-gallon jug is heavy to haul up stairs during an outage. Another adds a basic toolbox, a third points out that many buildings ban candles, and someone remembers a county fair where the fire department's display of outage supplies first got them started. A few simply thank him for appearing on camera himself.
The week's other upload, on why a prepper group matters when the grid goes down, had a respectable start and has since settled. A month-old review of Maxpedition's Jumbo Novo Versipack keeps drawing a steady trickle beside it.
Among outdoors and homesteading channels of a similar size, this was a modest week: Laura Farms ran far above its usual, while Huw Richards and PioneerPauly were a little quieter than normal.

What viewers say
Water Jugs – Water weighs about 8.5 lbs. per gallon. We bought collapsible 2.6 gallon jugs (22 lbs. when filled) for emergency water use instead of 5 gallon jugs (42.5 lbs. when filled.)
They store easily when empty. Remember, you might need to walk, climb stairs, and stand in line to get water in a prolonged outage.@CraterBSee it on YouTubeGreat advise for anyone living in a condo or apartment. I would also highly recommend you keep a basic tool box. Hammer, screwdrivers, basic socket kit, wrenches, etc. Not a big one, but one to do some small repairs round the place if needed, If things go south on you, having basic tools will be invaluable.
@DaggersandPlowsSee it on YouTubeWhen my son was 5yrs old we went to our County Fair and noticed how our Fire Department had a metal trash can showing everyone things to have for a power outage. That made me start to prep for things. We stocked our pantry with extra food ect.
