Caleb Wilson's first NBA points arrive on SportsCenter NEXT

ESPN's youth-sports channel pairs a rookie milestone with Jared McCain's opening-night shooting as daily views surge.

Why this story? The whole channel is running at 2,366,981 views a day, 14 times a normal day (167,869).

A first NBA basket belongs in the scrapbook. SportsCenter NEXT's new Caleb Wilson upload captures the Chicago Bulls rookie getting his first career points against the Toronto Raptors, adding a professional starting line to a channel with a deep high-school basketball archive.

The moment arrives as the channel adds roughly 2.4 million views in a day, more than fourteen times its usual daily total. That is a channel-wide jump, not a breakout that can be credited to Wilson's newly posted clip.

Beside it is a different kind of introduction: Jared McCain beginning his third season with six three-pointers off the bench in Oklahoma City's opening-night win over San Antonio. One upload marks a career's first entry on the scoreboard; the other packages a shooting-heavy return.

That sits comfortably alongside the channel's older basketball draws. Lonzo Ball's final high-school game and Chino Hills highlights remain among its most-watched regular videos. The new uploads extend that school-to-pro thread, with Wilson's first Bulls points providing the latest milestone.
