The Going Merry makes a splash in Rocket League

Two uploads introduce the One Piece crossover, with straw hats, pirate flags and a ship-shaped goal explosion.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Score a goal, summon a pirate ship. Rocket League's One Piece teaser brings the Going Merry out of a splash of water, giving the Straw Hats' ship a new role on the pitch.

The official game's channel posted two crossover announcements this week. The most-watched, "Rocket League® x ONE PIECE | Coming November 1st!", has reached about 146,000 views. It is a promotional trailer for the in-game event, mixing challenge rewards with optional paid items, and includes non-gameplay footage.

There is plenty packed into its brief run: Luffy's straw hat atop cars, pirate-flag antennas, wanted-poster trails and steering-wheel-style rims bearing the crew's emblem. A Mercedes-AMG G 63 gets an airborne moment, too. But the comments keep returning to the Going Merry goal explosion, with one viewer imagining every goal triggering an anime-length flashback to the opponent's previous matches.

The companion Straw Hats announcement is attracting the most daily views on the channel right now. Both crossover uploads sit above the older "He said "I got it" 💀" in current daily viewing.

Subscribers grew modestly over the week, although daily channel views are running well below their usual level. Among nearby game-publisher and esports channels, LCK Global had the busiest week for views, with Rocket League next in this group. Its separate Rocket League Esports channel had a much quieter week: here, the attention was on pirates rather than tournament play.
