A missed open net, and 'It's always the easy shots' hits 100,000

Psyonix's official channel posted four shorts, and the comment section under the miss turned into a running list of what makes a true Rocket League player.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

It's always the easy shots 🥲It's always the easy shots 🥲

Who hasn't fluffed a shot with the goal wide open? Rocket League's official channel put exactly that moment on screen in "It's always the easy shots 🥲", and three days later it has passed 100,000 views, well clear of anything else the channel posted.

The comments picked up the joke and ran with it. Viewers keep finishing the same sentence about being a true Rocket League player: raging and swearing and still queuing up expecting to stay calm, blaming teammates, overcomplicating an open net. Woven through the laughs are requests the community clearly cares about, with trading coming up again and again and one viewer pleading for a ranked Knockout mode. A few sharp eyes also think they spotted a Volkswagen Golf GTI in the clip and are asking whether it is coming back to the shop.

The other three uploads were shop and event notes: a Heartless universal decal, the Mona car, and a free Professional Yapper title tied to the creator Herculyse. Of those, the Mona short started fastest.

An older video is still in the mix too. "Rocket League® | Unreal Engine 6 - Tested By The Pros", the fifteen-day-old look at the game's move to Unreal Engine 6, billed as coming in 2027, has now gone past 845,000 views and keeps drawing a steady crowd.

The channel ran well above its usual daily pace, and among game publisher and esports channels of its size it gained the third most views. Its sister channel, Rocket League Esports, had a lively week as well, while XBOX ON gained the most views in the group.
