No Ratatouille, plenty of consoles in Retro Jakes' archive
With no new uploads, the channel added roughly eight million views across its existing videos over the week.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Back on the hunt for another weird game 🤘🤘😎 #retrogaming #retrojakes #fyp #videogames #nintendo
Retro Jakes posted nothing new, but the shopping trips already on the channel had plenty of life in them. The week brought 11,000 more subscribers, with subscriber growth running a little faster than its month-long average. Daily viewing is also well above the channel's usual level.
The busiest individual upload remains a very specific errand: finding Ratatouille for PlayStation 3. In the older clip, Jake checks two stores, following one employee toward the shelves before another asks his coworker Nick to search the inventory. Neither stop produces the copy he's after. "You're good brother, you're good. It's a weird one," Jake says after the second unsuccessful check.
That hunt has passed three million views since we last covered it. Console shopping supplies the other active uploads: "He just kept buying consoles 🤯🤯🔥🔥 #retrogaming #retrojakes #fyp #shorts #videogames #nintendo" and a clip titled around a sought-after Nintendo console.
Among nearby gaming channels, Jake Baldino and RGT 85 are also enjoying above-usual daily viewing, while IGN Games has been quieter. Retro Jakes collected the largest weekly view gain in this group, despite leaving its upload calendar completely empty.
