A 49cc BMW mini car, rebuilt for a younger brother, passes 22 million views
Restoration T2 posted nothing new, and the eight-month-old rescue of an abandoned kids' car did more than half the channel's daily work.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Full Restoration Abandoned 49cc BMW Mini Car For My Younger Brother
Restoration T2 has passed 113 million total views, and much of the latest push came from a tiny car. "Full Restoration Abandoned 49cc BMW Mini Car For My Younger Brother" is 250 days old and now past 22 million views. On its own it brings in roughly half of what the whole channel draws in a day.
The channel describes itself plainly: a lifelong passion for repair, and a belief that rusty or broken metal things deserve a second life instead of the scrap pile. The mini car fits that idea neatly, a discarded little machine brought back with a family member in mind.
No new uploads went up over the week, so the back shelf carried on without help. Behind the BMW, a chainsaw video with a cheeky title, "STIHL Engineers Bribed Me a million Dollars To Restore The Contra 06 Saw To Better Than New", is still finding an audience well past 3 million views. The description calls the Contra a legendary saw from the 1950s that is no longer sold new, which is why owners hunt for used ones and parts. A burned DJI Mini 3 drone, brought back from the wreckage well over a year ago, is closing in on two million.
Without fresh videos the pace eased a little below the channel's usual, and subscribers edged up by about a thousand to 406,000. Even so, among the DIY and home channels near its size, only Chris Garage78 added more views over the week, and Restoration T2 sat comfortably ahead of the rest, from Artisan Electrics to Jamie's Journey.
