The Man with the Bag - Official Trailer | Prime Video

Why would Santa need someone else to commit a crime? Arnold Schwarzenegger's Kris Kringle has a simple explanation: "I cannot do naughty, unlike you..." Alan Ritchson's Vance has fewer restrictions, but his help comes with a hefty fee.

That is the arrangement behind The Man with the Bag, a Christmas action-comedy whose official trailer has drawn more than 300,000 views in its first fourteen hours on Prime Video's channel, an unusually fast start for its short uploads.

Santa's magic bag has been stolen. The culprit is Nadia Nyce, a disgruntled former elf played by Awkwafina, and getting it back involves disguises and an infiltration of a luxury hotel. Vance negotiates his payment before welcoming his new employer to the Naughty List. Later, Kris crowdsurfs through a bar full of Santas, hardly the most discreet place to look for this particular man.

Viewers are making the obvious action-star connection: the Terminator and Reacher have teamed up to save Christmas. Others reach back to Schwarzenegger's earlier holiday outing, Jingle All the Way (1996), in which he played a father desperately hunting for a Turbo Man toy. This time, he is the one with the missing merchandise.

Directed by Adam Shankman and written by Allan Rice, The Man with the Bag arrives December 2, according to the trailer's closing card.
