Prime Video pairs Sauron's armies with Stolas's tangled heart

The Rings of Power trailer anchors a busy slate that also announces a Fallout competition series for January 13.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Sauron supplied the scale. Prime Video's most-watched upload of the week, "The Rings of Power - Season 3 Official Trailer | Prime Video", has reached roughly nine million views, with armies crossing forests and coastal waters and a glowing ring raised above magma.

The trailer remains the channel's busiest video by daily views. Its November 11 premiere announcement has also brought a season-two Galadriel-Sauron fight clip into the channel's current momentum mix. In the trailer's comments, viewers discuss the size of the armies, Charlie Vickers's Sauron and the villain's distinctly heroic style of pre-battle speech. A separate, very persistent topic is the abrupt music sting at the end.

Across 18 uploads, though, Middle-earth had plenty of company. Helluva Boss put Stolas's relationships at the center: a difficult conversation with Blitzø, a romantic backstory with Vassago and Bryce Pinkham's performance of "Dirty Bird". The heart-to-heart drew the largest audience of those uploads, while the newly posted "I.M.P. Jingle (Wally's Version) | Helluva Boss | Prime Video" is already among the channel's busiest daily draws.

Prime Video added subscribers over the week, although its current daily viewing pace is below its usual level. It nevertheless had the largest weekly view gain among the neighboring TV and streaming channels here; Still Watching Netflix and Adult Swim also drew substantial weekly audiences.

The smaller announcement with a different kind of promise was "Fallout Shelter: The Experiment - Date Announce | Prime Video". This is a competition series, not another scripted Fallout trailer, with future Vault Dwellers getting a January 13 arrival date.
