The menagerie keeps expanding. Plumley.funnypets has reached 140,000 subscribers after a week of growth that added roughly a fifth to its subscriber count.
Its latest animal introduction is a binturong, also called a bearcat, with a title that leads on its peculiar calling card: a popcorn-like smell. That isn't just an inventive caption. Binturongs really do have a scent associated with buttered popcorn.
The channel collects animal clips rather than documenting one household's pets, and its recent selection makes that variety clear. A pig gets lap-dog billing, an older dog is presented as still young at heart, and a wombat arrives with what the title calls a very simple agenda.
That assortment extends well beyond domestic animals. Among its most-watched Shorts are a tiny crab with attitude, a gorilla given the familiar-dad treatment and a breaching whale. The bearcat is an unusual addition, but unusual animals already have plenty of company here.
