Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 709,012 views a day, 9.8 times a normal first day on this channel (72,010).

this guy kept seeing his missing dog 🥺💛 #usa

Among PetsAreAngelz's cat challenges and fruit-slipper antics, a missing-dog story has drawn an unusually large audience. The Short, titled "this guy kept seeing his missing dog 🥺💛 #usa," attracted an estimated 710,000 views in its first day.

The comments turn toward memories of absent pets. Some viewers write about dogs they miss; others read the clip as a reunion. Those responses shouldn't be mistaken for confirmation of what happened to the dog, but they show the different meanings viewers are finding in the story.

PetsAreAngelz is a clips channel sharing animal videos, rather than the personal channel of the man in the title. Its other fast-starting upload centers on someone who couldn't leave his cats behind. Meanwhile, separate Shorts about a hungry kitten and a cat shaking its head have each passed a million views. The missing-dog upload's comments also came in more than five times faster than on a usual first day.
