From Shrek to Bigby Wolf, PlayStation revisits the fairytales

The Wolf Among Us Remastered promises restored deleted scenes and a Noir Mode alongside the week's much-watched Shrek announcement.

Far Far Away or Fabletown? PlayStation's release slate offers both, with distinctly different ideas of what happens after a fairytale character leaves home.

"Shrek 2 Remastered - Announce Trailer | PS5 Games" was the most-watched of fifteen new uploads, reaching roughly 1.8 million views. The promotional trailer packs forest exploration, pumpkin-monster combat and Fiona's rhythm mini-game into less than a minute. Its co-op adventure accommodates a player and up to three friends, with Shrek, Donkey and other familiar characters sharing the action.

Beyond the GTA VI comparisons we covered here, the comments have another persistent theme: discs. Viewers recall playing the original on PS2, ask for physical games and imagine putting this one on a shelf. Those wishes aren't confirmation of a physical release, but they give this remaster's nostalgia a very tangible form.

The darker fairytale return is "The Wolf Among Us Remastered - Story Trailer | PS5 Games." Bigby Wolf's detective story gets enhanced animation and audio, a Noir Mode and, according to the description, playable scenes deleted from the original production. Its announced October 29 release gives the week's smaller trailer a concrete date to circle.

Shrek currently supplies the channel's strongest daily momentum, followed by Crimson Desert Enhanced's ocean-exploration DLC overview and The Elder Scrolls Online's return to Skyrim. Overall daily viewing is running at more than triple PlayStation's usual pace, while its subscriber count stayed unchanged across the week.

Among nearby publisher channels, League of Legends and Call of Duty had larger weekly viewing totals. PlayStation's own busy slate stretches beyond returning favorites, too: Ordinary Oddness introduces an investigator's life in a city suspended above a sea of clouds.
