Hazbin Hotel checks into Fortnite with a battlefield musical
Charlie, Vaggie and Alastor appear in a collaboration teaser that tops the channel's fifteen new uploads.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Time to check in! Hazbin Hotel is coming to Fortnite!
Charlie Morningstar dances through explosions and rocket fire as though the battlefield were her stage. Vaggie charges through a door to handle the combat, while Alastor gets a post-title appearance with his microphone staff and an expanding shadow. Fortnite's Hazbin Hotel crossover announcement makes its contrast very clear: the fighting carries on, but so does the musical.
"Time to check in! Hazbin Hotel is coming to Fortnite!" is the week's most-watched new upload, approaching 400,000 views. This is a promotional game-collaboration trailer, and its cheerful chaos gives viewers something specific to discuss. Several point out how naturally Charlie's singing fits her character, even in the middle of a Battle Royale; another picks out a wall destroyed almost as soon as it is built.
The rest of the week keeps the horror-themed shop busy. Nikki's arrival announcement is close behind the Hazbin teaser in total views, while "Found the One Wish Willow. Oct. 21." supplies another piece of the introduction. The newest shop roundup is currently drawing views fastest, with two Nikki announcements also carrying much of the channel's immediate momentum.
Fortnite added roughly 6.5 million views across the week, with its subscriber count unchanged. Daily viewing is currently comfortably above its usual level. Nearby publishers League of Legends and Call of Duty had much larger viewing weeks, while Nintendo of America's daily viewing is running below its norm. For Fortnite, the fresh attention is concentrated on the shop's expanding horror cast, rather than a new season launch.
