Video taking off 23x its usual first day

A church praise break that had "no business going this hard" for Paul Bernard II

A channel built on sermon clips and pep talks tagged this short as comedy, and its comment section filled about eight times faster than usual.

Why this story? The video opened at a pace of 78,989 views a day, 23 times a normal first day on this channel (3,428).

A lighter one, this time. Paul Bernard II, whose channel promises to "encourage you in Christ," usually posts short sermon excerpts and motivational clips with titles like "The Cost of Inaction" and "God's love changes everything." His newest hit carries the tags #humor and #comedy, and a title that reads like a friend elbowing you during service: "This had NO BUSINESS going this hard."

It came close to 80,000 views in its first day. A new short here more often opens with a few thousand.

The title does not say which church this is or who is leading the music. The comments fill in what happens. The moment people mention most is the breakdown, the stretch where the song stops being a song and the room turns into a praise break. The top comment admires the crowd itself: people of every kind, all praising at once. Several viewers say heaven will look like this, one jokes about how a Baptist would react seeing it for the first time, another suspects the clip was sped up, and at least one is sending it to their worship leader. Comments arrived about eight times faster than on a usual first day for the channel's shorts.

It lands just after a very different success. As we reported here, a clip of Dr. Phil Kidd preaching, "This Is the Kind of Preaching We Need Again," has kept climbing and is now past two-thirds of a million views, and the channel picked up around 10,000 subscribers over the week. Maybe some of those new viewers arrived for the preaching and stayed for the dancing?

The very next upload went straight back to the serious register: a warning-themed short tagged with Jordan Peterson's name.
