- 0:00Chris introduces the free Crestliner and explains how a police call brought it back to its former seller.
- 3:40The engine inspection begins with battery checks and a look at fluid draining from the block.
- 9:03Chris troubleshoots the ignition points and rigs a temporary fuel supply; the starting attempt pays off at 14:33.
- 17:09Missing cooling-water flow leads Chris to deteriorated impeller fragments in the intake hose.
- 19:35Leo arrives with steaks and chimichurri for cooking over a backyard wood fire.
Getting the engine to run is only part of the job. Chris's free Crestliner has a MerCruiser inline-six willing to idle, but no water flowing through its cooling system. That is where NoNonsenseKnowHow's only new upload of the week turns from a starting challenge into a different kind of diagnosis.
The boat came with an unusual backstory. According to Chris, an acquaintance sold it years ago, then received a police call after it was found dumped and traced through its hull identification number. The acquaintance offered it to Chris for free and said he would obtain a duplicate title.
Chris works through the battery, ignition points and a makeshift fuel supply before the engine fires. Then he finds pieces of a deteriorated water-pump impeller in the intake hose and attends to the low fluid in the power-trim pump. The video includes a sponsored workwear segment. Neighbor Leo supplies a less mechanical interlude: steaks and chimichurri cooked over a backyard wood fire.
The upload has reached about 280,000 views and is comfortably the channel's busiest video by daily viewing. In the comments, the hook drawer earns its own moment of appreciation, one viewer admits to watching instead of winterizing their own boat, and another wants to know which cassette was left in the deck.
Across the channel, daily viewing is close to its usual level, while the subscriber count grew by about 1,000 over the week. George J Saliba and Jim's Automotive Machine Shop had especially busy weeks among nearby motoring channels; NoNonsenseKnowHow sits nearer the middle for weekly views.
The older projects have not stopped contributing. The free mystery car under tarps remains the next-busiest upload, followed by Chris's revival attempt on the long-parked Diamond REO truck.
