Syed Suhail | UP News: अचानक फटा टैंक, बाहर आई जलपरी! 40 लोग घायल #shorts #ytshorts #upnews
Spectators at a fair in Bahraich, in northern India's Uttar Pradesh state, were injured when an aquarium used for a mermaid performance burst, sending water and broken glass into the crowd, according to India's Hindi-language New Delhi Television channel, NDTV India.
Anchor Syed Suhail describes a nighttime attraction in which performers wearing mermaid costumes swam inside a large transparent tank. The report pairs his account with images of the fair and the performers in the aquarium.
Suhail says the rupture suddenly released a large volume of water, with spectators injured by both the force of the escaping water and fragments of the tank's glass wall.
The injury count is unclear within the short report. Its headline and opening banner say 40 people were injured, while a later caption says that 40 people were watching the show when the tank burst. The narration describes several people being hurt without resolving that difference. It does not explain what caused the tank to fail or describe the performers' condition.
