LeBron in a 76ers jersey: Media Day fills the NBA's week

Chris Haynes sat down with LeBron James, Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown in Philadelphia, and that interview is the most watched of fifteen new uploads.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Of the nine sports channels grouped here, the NBA has the most subscribers, at roughly 24.5 million. Its own week, though, was not about size. It was about one day in late September, when every team opened its doors for Media Day and the league filmed nearly all of it.

The headline image was LeBron James in a Philadelphia 76ers uniform, and the channel built around it. The most watched upload is Chris Haynes's sit-down for The Association, filmed at the 76ers' Media Day. The chapters give LeBron the first five minutes before Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown take their turns. A best-of reel billed as covering LeBron's first look in the jersey, Kawhi Leonard's laugh and Giannis Antetokounmpo's jokes sits close behind.

The short that carries the most momentum right now is a different James. "Bronny James is carving out his is own legacy" (the typo is the title's own) passed 200,000 views in about a day and a half. Few players have had their start in the league watched as closely as LeBron's son, the second-round pick who joined his father on the Lakers. The smaller clips are pure Media Day: Karl-Anthony Towns explaining that losing weight in the offseason keeps him young, Kawhi making it known he is still a fun guy, and a promise about the Blazers in transition.

Around the league channel, the football side is loud. NFL and Bleacher Report are both running near double their usual daily pace, while SportsNation is holding steady.
