Mr Listify works in batches. On October 1 the clips channel put up a run of its "Ranking ... Iconic Moments!!" shorts, one famous name at a time, among them Drake, Alex Consani, Bhad Bhabie, Anne Hathaway and Karen Gillan. Most settled into the low thousands of views. Karen Gillan's did not. It passed 90,000 views in its first 19 hours and is heading for about fourteen times a usual first day on the channel.

Hathaway's short was the day's other hit. It reached more than 40,000 views in its first ten hours, a pace of roughly nine times the norm. For a channel that ranks a new celebrity almost every few hours, two of them taking off on the same day is unusual.

The title does not say which moments made Gillan's list, but the Inverness-born actor has a long one to choose from. She played Amy Pond opposite Matt Smith's Doctor in Doctor Who from 2010 to 2012. She then became Nebula, the blue-skinned assassin of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy films, shaving her head for the part, and played Ruby Roundhouse in the Jumanji reboot.

The comment section is still small, but it is already busier than the couple of comments a short here usually gets on its first day. One viewer brings up "The Girl Who Waited," the Doctor Who episode that gave Amy Pond her best-known title. Another mentions the shaved head. A pair of Scottish viewers argue over her accent, and whether it sounds Glaswegian or closer to Edinburgh.

The channel did not slow down. A Jennifer Lawrence ranking followed the next day and is still in the low thousands.
