Max the Meat Guy adds 100,000 subscribers in a day
His menu has widened from exotic meats to family recipes, restaurant splurges and a country-by-country hot-sauce tasting.
Why this story? The channel is adding 100,000 subscribers a day, 139 times a normal day (718).
I Tried the World’s HOTTEST Sauce
Gold-covered steak, rattlesnake and family salads without vegetables: Max the Meat Guy has been giving viewers rather different reasons to pull up a chair. Now his channel has added 100,000 subscribers in a day, bringing it to 10.4 million.
That is an unusually large jump for a channel that typically adds subscribers by the hundreds each day. Views across the channel are also running well above their usual daily pace.
The timing puts the rise alongside "I Tried the World's HOTTEST Sauce," his newly posted international tasting. The video pairs sauces with dishes from their home countries, taking familiar names such as Frank's and Lao Gan Ma into the same tasting itinerary. It includes a paid partnership with Mint Mobile.
But the recent menu is broader than heat. "I Tried America's Most EXPENSIVE Menu Items" moves from fast-food orders to a golden tomahawk, asking whether the higher price delivers a better meal. His family-recipe episode takes the opposite route: inherited concoctions and unconventional salads supplied by viewers.
The meat remains, including an exotic-animal cooking episode. Alongside it, Max has made room for a different kind of food curiosity: what other people order, pass down and put on the table.
