Buffalo wings are the gentle introduction. By the time Max the Meat Guy reaches Germany, he's serving currywurst with an extract sauce billed at 7.7 million Scoville heat units.

His new upload, "I Tried the World's HOTTEST Sauce", has drawn about 90,000 views in its first few hours. But this isn't simply a lineup of bottles and increasingly distressed faces. Max cooks a dish for each stop, giving Kyle and Sophia everything from beef pho and poutine to charcoal-grilled boerewors before the final test.

The cooking supplies its own challenges. Punjabi aloo samosas prove tricky to assemble, while Malaysian spiced fried chicken earns a particularly enthusiastic verdict from Max. Steamed dumplings with Lao Gan Ma chili crisp, black vinegar and soy sauce receive the group's highest sauce rating at that point in the tasting.

Between bites comes "Guess That Country's Word!", a vocabulary game that asks the tasters to work out expressions from each place. South Africa's "robot" and Germany's "fremdschämen" share the itinerary with a British cheese toastie. Cutting that sandwich straight rather than diagonally earns Max a mock arrest from Kyle. The video also includes a sponsored Mint Mobile sketch and ad segment.

Viewers are discussing more than heat tolerance. One commenter from Northeast India recognizes the samosas as resembling a home attempt; Vietnamese viewers pick out Max's pronunciation of "ăn vụng". Others propose a Hot Ones-style challenge for Sophia.

The title's promised extreme sauce arrives in the currywurst finale. Max's verdict is considerably less enthusiastic than his earlier praise for the fried chicken: "Nobody should be eating this. I'm giving this a zero."
