fun weekend vlog! besties birthday, shopping dates & sleepovers
A usual day on Madison Sarah's channel brings in around 25,000 views. Lately it has been closer to 16,500, a slower stretch for a channel that posted a single video over the week and held steady at 440,000 subscribers.
That one video is "fun weekend vlog! besties birthday, shopping dates & sleepovers," and it is doing most of the work. It drew close to 24,000 views on its first day and has passed 40,000 since. The title covers the plan: a friend's birthday, shopping and nights in. But the comments wander somewhere else, into her reading pile. Viewers gently correct the spelling of George Orwell's name, debate what 1984 really says about women, suggest Animal Farm and The Picture of Dorian Gray, and promise that East of Eden is worth the effort. She also asked for help with her living room, and she got it: fairy lights, candles, a gold-framed mirror, a new TV stand. Another commenter would like one of her lines from the vlog printed on a T-shirt.
Further back, the first episode of her series on recovering from an eating disorder and burnout, posted two weeks ago, keeps drawing viewers and has passed 118,000 views. In its description she says filming it made her uncomfortable, because talking about her own problems does not come easily to her, and that she wanted to be more open to help others going through the same.
Among vlog channels near her size, Girl Truck Routine is having the big week, and Mandy's iPhone is running ahead of its usual pace. Monet McMichael, like Madison, is moving more gently.
