Deep snow and stove-top pierogies on Lost Lakes

Hauling the gear will have to wait. The snow is so deep and heavy that Jon first needs to break a trail, then return for the sleds in Lost Lakes' "10-Day Solo in a Mini Hot Tent -28°C Deep Snow & Darkness".
That January expedition is drawing the most daily views on the channel right now, months after its release. Its opening days turn getting to a lake into a substantial undertaking: a flooded creek and thick overgrowth block the intended route, sending Jon scouting another fork on foot and by drone. Back at camp, there are pierogies cooking on the wood stove, a modest reward for some decidedly immodest exertion.
Lost Lakes posted nothing new this week, but its existing adventures added roughly 243,000 views. The subscriber count held at 386,000, while daily viewing is currently a little below its usual level.
The wilderness isn't all deep snow. "Our First Time Camping with a Tiny Sleeper Sailboat", posted just before the week began, is close behind the winter expedition in daily views. Filmed on Dog Lake in mid-October, it offers a different kind of small sleeping quarters. The much longer Albany River solo fishing journey is also among the uploads drawing the most attention.
Among nearby outdoors channels, Kayli King and Big Water Guy had substantially larger weekly audiences, while No-Till Growers was quieter. For Lost Lakes, this week's viewing stretches from a tiny sailboat to a wood-heated tent, with no new departure required.
