The Cincinnati station posted its report on Saturday's Senate rally twice under the same title, and both uploads ran far beyond anything its news clips usually draw.

Trump visits Ohio to rally for Republicans as party fights to keep Congress
A new video on LOCAL 12, the Cincinnati station, usually has a quiet first day of about 1,500 views. Its report from President Donald Trump's Saturday rally passed 50,000 in under a day. A second upload under the very same title was past 40,000 in its first day too.
The rally was for Jon Husted, whom Gov. Mike DeWine appointed to the U.S. Senate in 2025 when J.D. Vance became vice president. Husted is now running to keep that seat against Sherrod Brown, who spent nearly 20 years in the Senate before losing to Bernie Moreno two years ago. The report notes that several recent polls put Brown slightly ahead. On stage, Trump praised Husted, talked up the economy and repeated his promise of $5,000 for every adult if Republicans hold both chambers. Husted, speaking first, told the crowd he was not asking them to winter at Valley Forge or storm Normandy, only to vote.
Then came a surprise guest: Jon Gruden, Husted's old college teammate at the University of Dayton and the coach who won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay. The report also gives the other side's day. Brown registered voters at Bowling Green State University, coffee shops in Lima and Columbus, and a Columbus barbershop, while Democratic state House candidate Kristina Knickerbocker recorded a response to the visit.
The comments came in at a pace this channel's short videos almost never see, and much of the talk turns to gas and diesel prices and the economy.
The rest of the station's uploads went back to local life: a Bengals loss to Jacksonville and a street poll on whether candy corn is a fall treat or flavored wax.
