A Net Yaroze, a Kurzweil reader and a question from LGR's festival haul

Clint Basinger came back from Vintage Computer Festival Midwest 2026 with sealed big-box games, odd CRTs and a request for viewers to help him choose what to cover next.

Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.

Clint Basinger came home from Vintage Computer Festival Midwest with a cold and a car full of strange machines, and his one new video goes through both. The chapters open with "sickness recovery ugh" before moving on to the haul: a woodgrain mouse, a Linksys iPhone, a Sound Blaster Pro, sealed big-box games, a Beakman's World tape, a Sierra Screamin' 3D card and a vertical CRT.

The pick most collectors will notice is the Net Yaroze, Sony's black hobbyist PlayStation that let home programmers write their own PS1 games. Next to it sits a Kurzweil Omni 3000, a reading machine from the company of the inventor Ray Kurzweil, which is exactly the kind of oddware the channel's about text promises.

The video ends with a real question. Clint writes that choosing which subjects to cover is getting harder, and he asks viewers what they want to see. A week in, it has passed 220,000 views and is easily the busiest thing on the channel.

The older uploads keep it company. The Nintendo 64 thirty-year retrospective from June, built around a boxed 1997 console, and the Easy-Bake Kitchen keyboard playset, which he also used to run Doom II, are still drawing steady daily views. Overall the channel is running a little above its usual pace.

Among the tech channels closest to LGR in size, Hipyo Tech is having the busiest stretch, and Zach's Tech Turf and META PCs are running below their normal levels. LGR's week rests on a single upload.
