'IS THIS THE END OF JUMPING WITH IVY…' hangs over a week without uploads
The eight-day-old video speaks of a big decision without saying what it is, while a pony called Bunny's first show keeps finding viewers.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
IS THIS THE END OF JUMPING WITH IVY…
Nothing new went up on Jumping With Ivy over the past seven days, and the video sitting just before that gap explains why the silence feels different. It is called "IS THIS THE END OF JUMPING WITH IVY…", and its description says it is a video the family never thought they would make. Things have changed, it says, and there is a big decision ahead: the end of the channel, or the start of something completely different. It does not say which, or what changed.
The British showjumping channel, which follows Ivy Thomas-Cook's riding from the first rounds to the shows and the ponies, kept moving all the same. Daily views ran noticeably above their usual level, and the week added about a million views in total, while the subscriber count held still at 1.31 million.
The question video is not the busiest one, though. That is a lighter short from 17 days ago, built on a family joke: if dad said yes, it basically counts as permission. Close behind is "Bunnys 🐰 first show 😭", a short about a pony called Bunny stepping into the ring for the first time. Perhaps viewers who arrived for the big question stayed for the ponies?
Among the pet and animal channels around its size, Jumping With Ivy is one of the quieter ones this week. Sassy and Sierra Rose are pulling in enormous crowds, Brighter Paws has roughly doubled its usual pace, and Miller Wilson is holding steady. For Ivy's channel, the more interesting number is a single word in a title, "END," with the answer still to come.
