- 3:52Peggy helps demonstrate the shallow boot and its limited luggage space.
- 5:09Joe finds the driving position high and questions cabin quality, touchscreen controls and dashboard visibility.
- 9:19A week on narrow UK roads changes the favourable impression he formed at the Austrian launch.
- 11:37The hybrid system feels clunky at low speeds, with delays when using the shift paddles.
- 14:05The adaptive suspension earns praise for its comfort over uneven road surfaces.
- 24:43Joe suggests considering an RS 3 Saloon or a lightly used RS 6 Performance instead.
Peggy the Labrador gets a turn in the boot, and Joe Achilles has a practical complaint: there isn't much depth to it. That small demonstration captures the problem running through "1000 Miles in The New Audi RS 5 Saloon | 4k": a bigger car hasn't necessarily become a more useful one.
Joe's only new upload of the week reached roughly 50,000 views in its first eleven hours. He had quite liked the plug-in hybrid Audi at its Austrian launch. Living with it on narrow UK roads changed his mind.
The handsome exterior keeps its appeal, and he gives the suspension proper credit for dealing with uneven surfaces. But inside, he finds a high driving position, cabin creaks and controls that frustrate him. Out on the road, low-speed hybrid clunkiness and limited steering feedback leave the performance feeling less involving than he wants. "I love walking up to it because it's such a beautiful car. But once I'm in it and driving it, I just haven't rediscovered that excitement."
Viewers are picking up that same outside-inside contrast, discussing the styling alongside cabin quality, ergonomics and luggage space. Several also make the case for keeping an older Audi rather than changing cars.
The RS 5 review is now the channel's busiest video by daily views. The earlier BMW M350 test remains active, while Joe's Porsche Carrera T road trip through France and the Alps supplies a longer escape from the saloon debate.
The channel added about a thousand subscribers over the week, although its current daily viewing is roughly half its usual level. Among similarly sized motoring channels, Tom Coolen had a particularly substantial weekly audience. Joe's newest contribution is less about a launch-day impression than what survives a week of actually living with the car.

the outside is nice, but the thing that gets me every time is the interior
@Green_Gamer23See it on YouTubeBoot space (or lack of) especially on the Avant where people want space will kill it for most.
@carlreaSee it on YouTubeLove the exterior. But in interior is poor compared to older Audi's. Great vid as always 👍🏾
