Kia's EV4 GT, an electric hot hatch Joe Achilles likens to an RS 3
He took the car to the south of France, and the comment section has settled on its price as the thing to argue about.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
KIA's RS 3 EV Hot Hatch is Impressive! EV4 GT
On a usual day Joe Achilles draws something like 70,000 views across his shelf of car reviews; these seven days ran at less than half that, and only one new video went up. It was an unexpected one for a channel whose about text lists a BMW M3 Touring, a GS adventure bike and a dream of a manual 911 GT3 Touring.
"KIA's RS 3 EV Hot Hatch is Impressive! EV4 GT" sends Joe to the south of France to drive Kia's electric hatch in its GT form, and the title makes the comparison plain: an Audi RS 3, minus the engine. Viewers picked up on that too, mentioning the five-cylinder RS 3 sound spliced in beside the Kia's own synthetic noise, and the switch that turns the extras off. Several were simply pleased to see a new brand on the channel. The most liked comment, though, is about money, and another viewer sets the Kia against BMW's electric 3 Series on power and range.
The older reviews are still doing most of the work. A first look at the 443hp BMW M350 xDrive and a 992.2 Porsche 911 Turbo S review, bluntly titled "A Disappointment", each bring in a little more per day than the Kia. Both are close to 200,000 views.
Among the car channels nearest its size, the week belonged to Pico Automotive Diagnostics, which had a very big run, while Joe's channel held at 331,000 subscribers.

Good to see new brands on this channel. Great video as usual.
@DeltaDubai03See it on YouTubeExcellent review as usual Joe. This car just goes to show you don’t need a million horsepower and torques. Even more so given the condition of our own roads in the UK. This car is definitely a surprising option for sure.
@jonathanwilcox7318See it on YouTubeSo you didn’t get stuck on the tarmac like Ped 😂. That RS5 avant boot is mental as 370 litres isn’t very much at all. I quite like this car to be fair. Good to see you broadening the range of cars. Nice one.
@sxhrgvsSee it on YouTubeCommodore 64 Joe 😉 you has to use a screwdriver to calibrate the cassette player to play games, these were the days 😢
@KUBABATIJUSSee it on YouTubeAlways good content Joe 🙏 maybe more coming with your own 911?
