Pole Barn Garage usually brings neglected machines back into daylight. Its only new upload this week reversed the journey, taking Dalton and a group of automotive creator friends into an abandoned mine on land he bought in New Mexico.

"Opening & Exploring A 100+ Year Old ABANDONED MINE!" has reached roughly 321,000 views. The outing begins with flashbacks to a birthday camping trip: Buff, from Buff's Garage, squeezes through a hand-dug opening and brings out an old wooden skid cart. Steve from Build Season and Jesse from Atomic Era Motors join the exploration, though Jesse backs out beneath the loose overhead rocks.

Returning a month later, Dalton finds part of the cliff face has collapsed over their tools. Sean from Revival Ranch arrives with a mini-excavator to clear the entrance. Among the exposed roof timbers, Dalton spots a scrap of a Campbell's soup advertisement. "Trying to preserve as much of the history as we can," he says. "That's what we're in this for."

Viewers are inventing mining-themed names for the assembled car channels, asking for more underground outings and, inevitably, wondering why there isn't a DeLorean down there. Others discuss the unstable roof and underground air hazards. The change of subject has given the comment section plenty beyond engines to consider.

The mine is also the channel's busiest video right now, followed by the desert F-250 revival and the Ranchero project for Danni's first classic car. Across the channel, weekly viewing reached roughly three-quarters of a million, and subscribers increased modestly, although today's viewing is well below its usual daily level.

Nearby in motoring, Tom Coolen had a particularly substantial viewing week. Pole Barn Garage's own strongest draw, meanwhile, was a restoration project with no wheels at all.
