An old axe head has found an unlikely second life as a toad, and Bensei isn't giving it a gentle introduction. Stein Steel's entry in the 2026 Meteorsmith Challenge gets swung through flowing patterns, driven into tires and sent through blocks of ice before meeting the ground outside.

Called "The Toad," it's a custom head for a meteor hammer, a weight swung on a flexible line. The animal shape supplies the character; Bensei's testing supplies a rather forceful demonstration of what it can do. One tire flies off the stack, and an ice test includes a jumping trick shot.

"Bro, if this thing was playing Frogger, the cars would have to watch out," he says.

The Short passed 100,000 views within ten hours, already well beyond his usual full-day audience for the format. In the comments, amphibian puns sit alongside practical concerns about protecting the rope and preserving the toad's sculpted features.

Those concerns turn out to be relevant. After repeated strikes against asphalt and concrete, Bensei praises the head for surviving, but identifies a weak point elsewhere: its jagged rear attachment ring has shredded the line. He suggests adding a quick link. The toad can take the punishment; its connection to the rope needs more care.
