Chari Hawkins adds a jump-rope rhythm to running drills
Her A-series tutorial progresses from walking to exchanging legs, with posture at the center of the lesson.
Why this story? The channel's weekly summary: what went up this week, what is drawing views now, and where the channel stands among similar channels.
Running Drills: A-Series Explained ✅
The switch takes practice. Chari Hawkins's most-watched new upload, "Running Drills: A-Series Explained ✅", moves through A Walk, A Hop and A Skip before reaching the A Exchange, a quick warm-up drill she counts among her favorites.
The key isn't simply lifting a knee. Hawkins asks runners to stack their head over their shoulders, shoulders over hips, and hips over feet. Then she slows down the knee lift, bounce and leg switch before building toward full speed. Her useful mental picture: pretend you're jump-roping while exchanging legs.
The tutorial reached roughly 34,000 views, and one viewer's comment gets at the value of that progression: the drills can be confusing, so seeing each stage makes it easier to practice separately. Others focus on her explanations and posture demonstrations.
It was one of two uploads this week. "Performance Anxiety looks like this." took a more personal, creative direction: Hawkins says a sports psychologist asked her to describe the fear chasing her, which became the idea for a Halloween-themed video set to Billie Eilish's "everything i wanted".
Running instruction supplies the strongest momentum, though. The A-series lesson is drawing the most daily views among her active videos, followed by "Improve your running form!" and the earlier "The 3 Best Running Drills to Master Your Mechanics".
Hawkins added a thousand subscribers over the week, modest growth compared with her preceding month's pace, while daily viewing is now well above its usual level. Among nearby fitness channels, Alexandrosthenics and Paulina Roquett had much larger viewing weeks; Hawkins's weekly views were slightly above RipRightHD's. Her newest lesson also returns to familiar ground: "How To A Skip | Chari Hawkins" remains her most-watched regular video.
